This tender-melting, dark milk chocolate evokes childhood memories. Its flavor is very similar to a delicious chocolate pudding with a big dollop of cream. Its dessert-like fragrance with hints of milk and cream are very harmonious, and once you taste it, your adventure of the palate starts with an aroma akin to a hot chocolate drink with milk, sweet whipped cream and lots of cocoa. It is joined by notes of chocolate toffee with subtle hints of butter biscuit and raisins, giving it a mild and multi-layered cocoa finale. We’ve travelled to Peru several times and know many of the cocoa farmers, who cultivate our amazing cocoa beans, personally. We take these precious goods, add mountain milk from Austria’s Tyrol region, genuine vanilla and sugar and turn it into a sweet, delicious milk chocolate.

This chocolate is dominated by lots of sweet milk and intense, creamy caramel from beginning to end – your nose and your palate will enjoy a charming caramel journey.This sweet-but-not-too-sweet milk chocolate also develops mildly spicy notes of cinnamon. Its entire flavor composition gives the impression of eating a creamy caramel bonbon seamlessly joined by a slightly cinnamon-y butter biscuit. And once the chocolate has disappeared, its characteristic sweet caramel flavor accompanied by a mild salty note lingers on.

Zotter Coffee

We combine the freshly ground coffee with cocoa, tender-melting, pure cocoa butter and cane sugar and turn this delicious blend into a sweet bar with a magnificent coffee fragrance and a nutty flavor. A must-try for all you coffee lovers out there! This sweet delicacy combines the aromatic characteristics of coffee with milk chocolate in a particularly harmonious way. It smells of a strong café latte, caramel and cream. On the palate, you will detect a fine coffee aroma with sweet whole milk developing into a creamy toffee with a coffee flavor carried by notes of caramel and cream, which is dominant right up to the end.

French White Nougat

Savoir vivre, the Lucullan way. French white nougat hailing from Montélimar is a veritable delicacy and extremely difficult to create. We dared to try, produced an otherworldly delicious and sweet white cloud and dunked some chopped pistachios and hazelnuts in it. We added a layer of homemade almond praline and covered the bar in an elegant milk chocolate coat with a confident 60% cocoa content.

The inventor Josef Zotter has constantly invested in his products. He has been involved in fair trade since 2004, in 2005 his company converted to organic and in 2006 he opened his own Chocolate Factory. Josef Zotter has succeeded in transforming the world of chocolates. With the hand-scooped chocolates the creative chocolate maker from Riegersburg has managed to upset our familiar view of the world of chocolate. Bacon Bits in chocolate, Pumpkin Seeds with Marzipan and Apples and Carrots with Ginger surrounded by chocolate. The chocolate revolution started: novel flavour combinations, a new format, art as packaging and the transformation of delicacies into green food. In 2012 the hand-scooped chocolates were celebrating their 20th anniversary. Bean-to-bar – from the bean to the chocolate Since the opening of the Chocolate Factory Josef Zotter has ranked among the few quality chocolate makers around the world whose chocolate production processes are located under the same roof: From the roasting of the cocoa beans via the rolling up to the finishing touches in the conching plant everything is carried out with a high degree of sensitivity. In this way Zotter clearly positions himself against standardized mass production and the concentration of the chocolate market. In his Chocolate Factory there is no run-of-the-mill processing. The entire manufacturing process becomes transparent and tangible for visitors in the Chocolate Theatre. Zotter even was invited to the renowned Harvard University and his company is the only Austrian company included as part of the students’ curriculum as a case study.
